River Effra | Modern Slavery Policy

As a small business we are not required to make a formal Modern Slavery statement. However, as part of our principles as an ethical and socially responsible company, and for the reassurance of our clients we have the following statement in accordance with the Modern Slavery Act 2015.

Modern Slavery is a crime and violation of human rights. It can include slavery, forced labour, human trafficking and exploitation for another person’s gain, amongst other things. We are committed to ethical and socially responsible business practices, including combating modern slavery and human trafficking.

Organisational Structure

We provide services to organisations mainly in the UK, but also globally. We have one CEO and will have employed staff. Permanent staff will be salaried. We also employ the use of advisors, who are employed on a contractual or ad-hoc basis and are renumerated in accordance with work done. All advisors we work with have signed our service agreement.

Supply Chains

We also use a number of contractors, including but not limited to research companies, design companies and others. All contractors are also subject to our service agreement and are all professional service companies or individuals. We constantly review our suppliers.

Commitment to Anti-Slavery and Human Trafficking

There are relatively few risks within our supply chains or business. This is supported by our company philosophy of integrity and honesty, as well as high standards of work. This policy will be reviewed on an ongoing basis to ensure that we identify and mitigate risks associated to Modern Slavery.
